Ab3d Oculus wrapper issues! Help! - ninekorn - 08-18-2017
I have downloaded the Ab3d Oculus Wrapper from github here https://github.com/ab4d/Ab3d.OculusWrap and I am having issues after following all the steps mentioned on that page. I can fully build the whole program but when I launch in Visual studio it goes into BreakMode. I really want to have an Oculus Wrapper to play with in C#. I have just started with Monogame and I really like the idea of building my own stuff with Native c#.
I would really love to get some help to be able to run this nice wrapper and start building projects Learning from it.

Hm, what does it mean that VS goes into BreakMode? Is there any exception thrown?
I have checked the instructions for the library again and have found out that I have forgotten to mention that in Oculus Settings you need to enable "Unknown Sources". Maybe this will do the trick.
The samples are also a little bit outdated because they use older version of SharpDX v2.6.3 instead of v4.0.1. Note that with 4.0.1 you also need SharpDX.Mathematics assembly and for Ab3d.OculusWrap.DemoDX11 also a SharpDX.Desktop. The references for the Ab3d.PowerToys and Ab3d.DXEngine should also be updated to new version.
I am planning to update that until the end of the month.

I have been struggling for 5 days to get oculus Rift running on Native c# trying to load all possible oculus rift native c# wrappers and even today I am at a loss. Its not working haha. geez i mustve spent 40 hours total trying to make all wrappers run and Nothing is working.
The thing is if your DXEngine is able to run Oculus Rift and you got a good sample project that comes with it, im in. Im tired of wasting time trying to fix all the other wrappers people left behind that don't even work nowadays. Im definitely not a pro programmer so some other people might find it easy to make them work but anything thats not working out of the box is a pain to have to deal with before getting in ones project.
So Also do you have plans for incorporating Oculus Avatars?
Nevermind for the sample project, if the most recent version that you sell on the website here at ab4d is working and that i only have to buy the license of DXEngine Im in.
