TransformShapes not working as expected

Hey ReadSvg Folks,

I have Visio files I'm exporting to SVG and using Ab2d.ReaderSvg() to convert the file to XAML. It appears if a Visio "square" with FlipX is set to True, the square is not rendered correctly when the TransformShapes option is set to True.

I have attached a zip file with the original Visio file, VisioToSvg.vsdx, the Visio export svg file, VisioToSvg.svg as well as the Xaml files with TransformShapes enabled/disabled.

When TransformShapes is Enabled you will see the square overlaps the circle to the right. The square should be in between the two circles.

Let me know if there is something I need to tweak on my end.

ViewerSVG: XAML output is not always correct

Hallo all,
we create svg icons in Inkscape application and we use ViewerSVG for export to XAML for using in MS Visual Studio (WPF application development).
Sometimes the ViewerSVG does not render SVG data correctly. In attachment is shown original svg (rotplus_color.svg) generated by Inkscape
(Inkscape_original.png). SVG_In_MSInternetExplorer.png shows how it is rendered by MS Internet Explorer (correctly). When I load this svg file
by ViewerSVG I get following: (see screenshots SVGViewer1.png and SVGViewer2.png). Both cases are differed in (checked / unchecked) function "Transform shapes".
As you can see both cases are rendered wrong. XAML output is in application shown by the same way.
Do you know what can be wrong and what can I solve this problem? Thank you for any advice.

SvgViewbox control with MVVM from memory

Hello everyone,

currently I am evaluating the Ab2d.ReaderSvg library for the company I work, because we need the features for one of our products.

Our application is based on the MVVM pattern. I've seen that there is a SvgViewbox control that can be used for this purpose. So far, so good. But, the problem that I encountered is that the SvgViewbox is expecting as the source an URI and this doesn't fit our needs. We take the SVG content from a database so we have it already in memory and it doesn't make sense to save it somewhere on the disk first and than to set the source to that file so that the SvgViewbox control is loading it.

My question is: is it possible somehow, obeying the MVVM pattern, to set the source of the SvgViewbox as a (memory) stream ?

Compilation Problem with licenses.licx file

We want to use the SvgViewbox in our application. This works fine on our developer PCs with team version. Now we are on the way to build a setup for the customer and I tried to include the licensed verion in it.

The file "licenses.licx" is in root project folder with the following content:

I tried also with full qualified name:

And with the licenses.licx file in Properties folder.

All results in LC.exe Code 1 error during compilation. What is wrong?

XAML batch conversion options

In ViewerSvg, is there any way to specify "Root element" and other options such as size/position by using command line parameters?

-and is it possible to use the ReaderSvg library in .NET, so I can build my own batch conversion from SVG to XAML with Root Element=UserControl and specify size/position?

if that is the case, is there any sample source code available for demonstrating how to use the library to export to XAML with these options? I guess it requires access to the "Advanced XAMLWriter" class from code, but I need to know if that is available, before I purchase the library.

TranslateTransform appearing on converted xaml text

Hi,

I use the ReadGeometry and GetXaml methods to obtain the xaml text of the svg images. I noticed the following text appearing in the xaml

I do not want to see these transformations in my xaml and I'm not sure how to remove them.

I do not see this in the xaml text when I use the ViewerSvg, export and choose get geometries. Please let me know how I could get rid of these transformations.

I am currently using the trial version of the ReaderSvg and I'm interested in using the ResourceDictionaryWritter utility. I would like to know if its possible to set the UseColorNames property to false and edit the format of the resource dictionary xaml with the purchase of ReaderSvg. Or is it still going to be the same with the purchase?

SVG to XAML conversion problems

We have several thousand SVG files that we are attempting to convert to XAML using the Ab2d.ReaderSVG library.

After conversion there are many lines/strokes that are "off": the end-points are moved causing unsightly overlap.

We've tried updating to newer versions of the library, as well as increasing the number of decimal places (up to 6) with no noticable difference.

The attached ZIP file includes a document illustrating the issue, as well as a sample input SVG and converted XAML file.

We hope that you will work with us to help improve the quality of the XAML graphics that are produced by the ReaderSVG library.

ReaderSvg crash when open file

Hello! I'm sorry for my English. We use licensed SvgReader library (ReaderSvg.4.3.3904) and we have crash on some svg files. I attached one for example.
Could we hope that this problem will be fixed in future version?
And may be you could tell me what is problem with this file and I will be able to expalin it to my customers?

Support for drop shadow filter

I'm trying to add drop shadows to some shapes. I found the following sample for using feGaussianBlur and feOffset. When I open it with ViewerSvg, the shadow shows up as solid black. I don’t know if this means that WPF doesn’t support it, or that the current version of ViewerSvg doesn’t support it, or something else.

exporting bitmap

ViewerSvg has a feature to export a Canvas as a PNG file. I expected an equivalent method to be available on ReaderSvg, but I do not see one.

When I use the Export Image feature in ViewerSvg, the resulting bitmap is much smaller than what's rendered in the view. Is there a way to control this?

Ab2d.ReaderSvg as Silverlight assembly

Is it possible to purchase Ab2d.ReaderSvg as Silverlight assembly?
Then Silverlight can render the SVG directly without the need to convert the SVG in some tool.
